Re-Prioritize Your Life

When your life seems filled with more to do than you feel can ever get done, or you feel pulled in too many different directions and wish for some sense of order, taking time to re-prioritize your daily and weekly activities can make a huge difference.

By evaluating your normal week and categorizing your activities, you can see where most of your time is spent and then make changes to ensure that the most important things in life, such as your relationships, are actually calendared so that they won’t get pushed aside. This activity can be done by yourself or can work great with your family in a group meeting (family council). When done in the group setting, kids can give input on what they wish the parents would do to help them every week or what a spouse might be wishing for as well. When you ask, “Is there something you would like me to do for you?” you might be surprised at the answers.
